PAS 2060 Carbon Neutral Certification
PAS 2060 provides a comprehensive and systematic framework to help organizations achieve carbon neutrality in a credible and consistent manner. It is a key tool for promoting sustainable development and addressing global climate change challenges.
Introduction to PAS 2060 Certification
PAS 2060 is an internationally recognized standard specifically designed to validate and demonstrate the carbon neutrality of an organization, product, service, or activity. PAS 2060 aims to offer a transparent and consistent approach for quantifying, reducing, and offsetting greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to ultimately achieve carbon neutrality. The standard defines the requirements needed to achieve and prove true carbon neutrality, including commitments to reduction, actions taken to reduce emissions, carbon offsetting, and the public reporting of information.
Advantages of PAS 2060 Certification
1. Demonstrate to customers and stakeholders the organization's genuine efforts and achievements in achieving carbon neutrality.
2. Showcase the organization's proactive stance on climate change, enhancing its environmental image and market competitiveness.
3. Help organizations adapt to policy trends and market demands in advance, given the increasing global focus on carbon emissions.
4. Encourage the adoption of effective emission reduction measures and support carbon offset projects, leading to positive environmental and social impacts.
How to Obtain Certification
Kaixin Certification can provide an accredited certification against the PAS 2060 standard. Clients and customers willing to undergo certification needs to complete the application and contract agreement process following which initial or re-certification audits will be carried out. Once the certificate is issued (with a 1 year validity), further surveillance audits will have to be carried out at pre-defined frequencies to maintain the validity of the certificate.
