EXCiPACT Senior Consultant Iain Moore Visited Cotecna North Asia & China HQ
On September 4, 2025, Iain Moore, Senior Consultant of EXCiPACT, and Nevin Cheng, Head of Operations for China, visited Cotecna North Asia & China HQ. Mr. Li Wenjiang, Vice President Cotecna North Asia, as well as Jin Sansheng, a certified EXCIPACT auditor from Kaixin, participated in the reception.
Lai Moore, the project leader for the development and delivery of the EXCiPACT certification program, was invited to share at this meeting. Iain Moore, as the Chairman of the EFFCI (European Federation of Cosmetic Ingredients) GMP Committee, leads the development of GMP guidelines and standards for cosmetic ingredients. His interpretation of the core logic and regulatory practice points of the international certification system provides professional references from a global perspective for participants, and also provides key directions for Kaixin Certification to benchmark international audit standards.
Nevin Cheng, one of the founders of the International Pharmaceutical excipients Association (China) and the head of operations in China, also attended the event.
The meeting conducted targeted discussions around four core issues:
1. Focus on the collaboration mechanism between certification bodies (CBs), clarify the optimization of audit processes through regular communication, unify standard execution, and improve the efficiency of certification services;
2. Building an industry information sharing platform, Kaixin Certification shared practical cases in the EXCiPACT GMP certification and explored the path of audit technology upgrade with peers;
3. EXCiPACT GMP's development in Kaixin certification and China, combined with the needs of China's pharmaceutical excipient industry, explores the localization and implementation strategy of the certification system, and provides more practical solutions for enterprise compliance;
4. The opportunity of EFFCI GMP certification in China, exploring the potential of the cosmetics ingredient GMP certification market, and providing new directions for Kaixin Certification to expand its service areas and assist enterprises in multi-dimensional compliance.
This meeting not only deepened Kaixin Certification's dual understanding of international certification standards and Chinese market demand, but also solidified the foundation for collaboration with industry experts and institutions. In the future, Kaixin Certification will continue to use international standards as benchmarks and local enterprise needs as the core, optimize EXCiPACT GMP certification services, and explore the development of EFFCI GMP certification services to help more pharmaceutical excipients and cosmetic ingredient companies achieve quality upgrades and compliant development, and jointly build a secure defense line in the industry chain.
