FAMI-QS (European Quality System for Feed Additives and Premixes) is a mandatory certification for feed additives and premixes entering the European Union, established by FEFANA (European Feed Additive Manufacturers Association) to comply with EU feed regulations 183/2005 EC, 1831/2003 EC, and 178/2002 EC. According to the requirements of the European Union, all special feed ingredients exported to the EU must obtain a FAMI-QS certificate FAMI-QS is an excellent global quality and feed safety management system suitable for special feed ingredients. Special feed ingredients refer to any intentionally added ingredients that can affect the characteristics and animal (production) performance of feed or animal products, regardless of whether they have nutritional value, and are usually not used as feed itself. The FAMI-QS standard involves safety, quality, and compliance to minimize harm and ensure the safe and legal release of special feed ingredients into the market.
